Once a Sea is a project about the relation between time, place and material. Limestone is a sedimentary rock formed by the accumulation of calcium carbonate-rich material on the bottom of shallow tropical seas, mainly originating from the remains of marine organisms. 65 to 359 million years later, these ancient sea beds turned into the landforms we walk on today, giving us the opportunity to venture the geological cycle of our earth and its extinct inhabitants.
